Ben & Vincent

Cologne, Germany

Born in Iran and of Assyrian heritage, Ben & Vincent was raised and educated in Europe, drawing inspiration from both Eastern and Western cultures. His mother, an Iranian-Assyrian folk singer, fostered a deep connection to and appreciation for Middle Eastern melodies, poetry, and instruments.

Many fascinating personalities and liberal minds, who fled Iran after the revolution, were close family friends and instilled in him a profound interest in various forms of art. Musicians, painters, and writers left a lasting impression on his thinking and influenced his musical expression.

Growing up in Europe, he was exposed to jazz and electronic music, both of which have significantly shaped his compositions. His music spans a broad spectrum, from laid-back jazz and lounge to deeply meditative and spiritual pieces, as well as catchy organic house, downtempo, and up-tempo tracks for the dancefloor.

While his music touches on various genres, storytelling remains at the heart of his compositions. He seamlessly blends traditional instrumentation with electronic grooves, melancholic undertones with hopeful melodies, and the ancient with the modern.
